God’s protection.

For most of my life I never felt safe, which impacted my potentional significantly. As women we were designed to be protected, I’m sorry if those who were suppose to take care of you, used their power to harm you in some way, that was not the way God designed it. Nevertheless, these things do happen and they affect the way we show up more than we realize.
It’s been a journey, understanding, embracing and receiving God’s love. A journey filled with tears, revelation and insight. One of my favorite things about God’s love is how secure it makes me feel. Due to my concerns of safety, I walked around with my guard up, even when I didn’t want to. In my head that guard kept me safe, but in God’s presence it couldn’t stay. And He began peeling back the layers of trauma and pain, and reminded me I no longer had to operate from that place of fear because He will protect me.
It didn’t come easily but I’m much more steady today than I once was and for that I give Him all the glory.
A few years ago God told me that I’m now walking a fine tuned place with the Holy Ghost as fascinating as it sounds (and it is) it came with an immense responsibility. He gave me direct instructions on how He needed me to move forward and I obeyed. It has been interesting eversince watching myself become someone who I’m learning to love. I love God so much and I’m willing to do whatever He asks of me. There are so many occassions where He would say “don’t go there” or sometimes my spirit would just be unsettled about going to a certain place. And it’s not so much about going to see for myself, I had enough of that. As long as my Father says No.. it is “No”.
The more obedient I became the more sensitive I was to His voice and His nudgings. It’s such a liberating feeling to know that the God of Heaven’s armies, The Ancient of Days, The Man of War is the One who protects me and if you allow Him to, He will protect you as well.
Your walk with Him may not look like mine we are all called to different things, however obedience is a requirement for every child of God. Also, God’s protection is a form of His love that isn’t highlighted enough. He’s not trying to control you, He wants the best for you and He knows what that is. Trust Him.
Blessings💙
