Spiritual Pitstops.

I was in my prayer time when this topic came to my mind. What I immediately thought of after were the flags that are waved during a car racing event. To signal to the drivers they can STOP and fix any mechanical issues they encountered during the race at this time.
I pondered on an experience I had recently where I found myself at a physical pit stop. I was driving and the car started to vibrate and then before I knew it, the car had stopped. My mind was all over the place as this never happened to me before. After speaking to my mom she said “talk to your father”, she meant God, I listened to her wise counsel and He told me “be still and know that I am God, call your father”. I was obedient and my daddy was very helpful, he told me to call my insurance that they offer assistance for such events. The next hour and a half was filled with phone calls of everyone checking to see if I was okay. I also contacted my mechanic. I was overstimulated and overwhelmed. The event ended up in me having to get a tow truck to take my car to my mechanic. It was a LONGGG day, just like my car I felt like I had nothing left in my tank, I just wanted to lay down.
My mechanic did his assessment and diagnosed and said the car may need gas. In complete shock, I told him I was going to put in gas today. We put the gas in the car and all was well. How many times have you felt like you had enough spiritual arsenal to fight another battle yet God was calling you back into the secret place and you refused to obey?
Obedience is important, God knows best, He knows our adversary the devil is deceptive and cunning. It is in His presence that we receive strategy and strength. We receive wisdom and peace. I’m so grateful He never leaves us nor forsakes us. I honestly didn’t think I needed all that happened that day, though I’m still processing it, I’m grateful. Grateful that this lesson wasn’t too costly. I also learnt that even these seemingly inconvenient moments are pathways for God’s redirection and ALL things truly work together for the good of those who love God who are the called according to His purpose -Romans 8:28. I had conversations that day that left me encouraged and at peace. I also saw exactly what God told me a few weeks ago “there are more for you than they are against you”. He never promised we won’t have troubles, He promised to be with us.
Are you willing to step out in faith and take God at His word? If God is calling you to a spiritual pit stop take it seriously. Every good warrior knows, there is a time for war and a time for rest. BOTH are important and play an integral role in the overall wellbeing of said warrior. Allow God to order your steps.
God bless you.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way- Psalm 37:23
